"perhaps merely quiet"
a staged reading of a new play by Sabrina Chapadjiev
directed by Max Lewendel

Welcome to the world of Savannah: Female, 19, Bi-polar I Disorder.
Most Recent Episode: Hypomanic.

Savannah enters a psychiatric ward in search of quiet from the voices of a mad mad world.  Instead, she finds herself in an ordered chaos where doctors seem more bizarre than patients.  When the newest psychiatrist at the hospital begins to treat Savannah, both struggle to fit into a world where credentials and a cold diagnosis overshadow the importance of personality and genuine human contact.

perhaps merely quiet defines the betrayal, sacrifice, and helping hands five women lend each other to walk a fine line of 'self' within a web of mental illness.
